On Saturday March 1, 2025, The Dallas College Police Running Team was represented by Cpl. R. Gonzalez (MVC), Ofc. R. Martinez (ECC), Ofc. R. Rangel (MVC), Ofc. D. Garcia (ECC) and Sgt. J. Guzman (BJP) at the Hachie 50, 50 Mile Ultra Relay.

From 6AM to 4PM The DCPD Team ran a total of 50 miles with each runner running 10 miles.

The mission for the run: To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. Some of the local charities that were supported by the run were: United Way of West Ellis County, Salvation Army, Waxahachie CARE, Operation First Day of School, Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation, Cub Scout Pack 234, Meals on-Wheels of Ellis County, Daniel’s Den, Gingerbread House, YMCA, and Waxahachie ISD Vision Clinic.

The Dallas College Police Running Team presented Chief Puente with the DCPD STRONG shirt wore by The DCPD Running Team at the race.
